Oblates’ day of recollection

21 June 2025 By mniszki

Jesus, I unite myself with Your Divine Sacrifice. You are my Host and I am Your Host, or rather we are one and the same Host. I offer You to the Eternal Father for myself, and I consecrate and offer myself to You and for You, in order to thank You for all the mercies I have received in the most magnificent mystery of the Mass, thanks to Your adorable goodness.

Mother Mechtilde

On Saturday, June 21, in memory of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, another Mechtildian retreat was held for the oblates of our monastery.

We began the morning with a conventual Mass. Father Andrzej Tulej, also an oblate, reminded us that the retreat is another opportunity to reflect on one’s own life and a step towards greater union with God.

The first conference was given by Sr. Dominika on the history of Eucharistic spirituality, referring to the experiences from the May assembly of our Institute in Tegelen, the Netherlands. The second conference by Sr. Cecilia concerned the similarities and differences between the spirituality of Mother Mechtilde and St. Faustina. In the afternoon, Sr. Dominika told more about the assembly in Tegelen, also presenting photos from that meeting.

There was adoration in silence and the joy of shared meals. The retreat ended with a conversation summarizing the whole day.We also made plans for the next year of formation of the Oblates.

Thanks be to God!
