On the occasion of the “pro orantibus” day, we were visited by Fr. Herbie Canete RCI, superior of the Rogationist religious house in Warsaw, together with his confrere. We were generously gifted by the Fathers, and the most precious gift was the relics of the founder, St. Hannibal Maria di Francia. This was the first visit of the Rogationists to our community, so we had many questions. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, and Father Herbie left us a written message in which he wrote, among other things:
We, the Rogationist Fathers from Warsaw, come to you on the feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary by her parents Joachim and Anne, as a sign of love for our sisters in the contemplative order. Our holy founder, St. Hannibal Maria di Francia, passed on to us this noble tradition of visiting and supporting our sisters in every way possible. For your commitment to prayer and constant intercession for the whole world, your work requires attention and concrete solidarity.
We come to your convent to greet you, talk, share our small gift, pray, bless, and also ask for your blessing so that, working in the Lord’s great harvest, we may bring souls to eternal life in heaven.
